Welcome Crafters to Camp Imadene in Mesachie Lake, BC.

Home of all Vancouver Island Creative Women's Week Retreat Dates

You’re about to step into a beautifully immersive seven-day creative escape at Camp Imadene at Mesachie Lake, B.C. — a cozy, lakeside hideaway designed to help you slow down, settle in, and let your creativity take center stage. Nestled near the calm waters of Mesachie Lake and surrounded by Vancouver Island’s lush forested beauty, this retreat space offers the perfect blend of nature, comfort, and that “you can finally exhale” feeling.

Between crafting sessions, slip into the hot tub, wander outside for a breath of fresh air, or head to the on-site coffee shop to make your own gourmet coffee with fresh grounds—then lounge with friends in the relaxed hangout space (yes, there’s a pool table and other little activities to keep things fun). Whether you’re soaking, sipping, laughing, or simply sitting quietly with the trees and lake as your backdrop, the pace here is beautifully unhurried.

Get ready for the kind of calm that happens when everything is thoughtfully taken care of—and all you have to do is create.

Around Town

Nestled in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, Lake Mesachie is a peaceful lakeside community known for its forested beauty, fresh coastal air, and relaxed West Coast charm. Surrounded by towering evergreens and calm waters, it’s the kind of place where time slows down and creativity flows a little easier. Just steps from the lake, you can enjoy quiet shoreline walks, watch the light dance across the water, or simply sit with a warm drink and take in the stillness. The natural beauty here creates the perfect reset between crafting sessions.

When you’re ready to explore, the surrounding Cowichan Valley offers scenic drives, hiking trails, and charming small-town stops. Visit nearby Lake Cowichan for boutique shops, cozy cafés, and riverside strolls along the Cowichan River. Nature lovers can wander forest paths, discover hidden swimming spots, or take in panoramic viewpoints that showcase Vancouver Island’s rugged beauty. Whether you’re craving a peaceful walk, a little adventure, or a relaxed afternoon exploring local gems, the Lake Mesachie area offers the perfect blend of inspiration and restoration to complement your Creative Women’s Week experience.
